Getting diamonds for a girl you’ve had three dates with may be a bit premature. However, someone you have dated for a few years may be expecting them.

Listen for clues, to what she says, and your gift shopping may get a bit easier. Or ask one of her friends for ideas – she may know the exact present that your girl may be expecting.

Purchase something that will last. Flowers are nice and can accompany any gift, but give your girlfriend a gift that she can really treasure and love. Try to personalise the gift as much as you can and you’ll make her happy.

Give her the gift of time and yourself. The most important thing you can give is spending time with her.
