Keep it in the locker Dream Girl Hema Malini robbed
Bollywood actress, Hema Malini’s house was burglarized over the weekend. The actress returned to her residence in Mumbai to find cash and jewelry worth Rs 84 lakhs had been stolen. Police have detained the domestic help for questioning and are on a manhunt for the watchmen and a possible accomplice.
The details of the case thus far are this: the burglars had crept into the house by breaking iron grills at the back of the house and diving right into Hema’s stash of goodies which for some inexplicable reason, she keeps at home. Now we may not ever have been referred to as Dream Girl, or have been best known for our traditional dances being the highlight of any Indian film from the golden era, but we do know this: when we have jewelry worth over Rs 5000, we run to our nearest bank locker.
The artist known as Dream Girl was in a state of shock when she arrived at her house to find she had been robbed. Incidentally, while Hema had managed to marry the hottest man in Bollywood during their time, Dharmendra, she does not live with him, instead choosing to live with her two daughters in an upscale Juhu home.
The robbery has thrown a spanner into her plans of launching Esha Deol “properly” in a home production called Oh Mere Khuda. Meanwhile, the police have no leads but reassure all those who care that the investigation is going in the right direction.
