After her victory as the Best Supporting Actress for Fashion at the National Awards, Kangna Ranaut is riding high.

She got a pleasant surprise yesterday at around 4 in the evening, when a Delhi-based fan of hers, Sameer, sent her a huge gift hamper to congratulate her for her National Award win.

The hamper contained three boxes – one that had 22 wine bottles, one with 22 cakes of different types and sizes, and one with 22 accessories like earrings, bangles, bracelets, etc.

Tom Cruise is heading to the land down under and he’s hoping to win over a few stupid trusting souls to Xenu. His wife, Katie Holmes is set to film a thriller, “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” in Australia this summer and Cruise is going for moral support – and to pimp Scientology, according to the Daily Mail.

Cruise will launch a recruitment drive for his cult church, which hasn’t made many converts there. He’ll begin in Melbourne where Holmes will film for four months.

“Tom knows that he will have his work cut out as the church attracts protesters. But he hopes his presence will help change minds and dispel the myths that Scientology is a cult,” said a source.

Unfortunately for Cruise, the state of Victoria (in which Melbourne is located) his beliefs have a bad rap there already. Scientology was banned for six years there in the 60s after it was branded “evil” by a local lawyer. Read the rest of this entry »

David Carradine’s manager suspects foul play and revealed the actor had his hands tied behind his back, according to TMZ:

Chuck Binder, Carradine’s manager, tells us he firmly believes Carradine did not take his own life — nor does he think David died accidentally. Binder says the family has been told Carradine’s hands were immobilized by the rope.
Carradine was found by a hotel maid Thursday morning with a rope tied around his neck and another around his genitals in a Bangkok hotel room.
